Julie Chen Moonves hosted the popular reality TV show in the summer of Big Brother which returned to CBS for the 22nd season on the 5th of August. Chen Moonves had been The Talk's first hosts. She was moderating and hosting the show since 2010 to the year 2018, when she was the host. But her real passion was when she added writing to her duties and won an Emmy for it. Also, she won one Emmy award for exceptional host of a talk program. From 2002 until 2010 Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. She was the anchor for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour of news during the early hours of the morning. Chen Moonves also covered the conflict in Iraq and other significant stories, on The Early Show. Following the 9/11 attacks, she traveled to Cairo for a fascinating and informative interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves has also worked with CBS's New York City station WCBS as a reporter, anchor and producer (1997-1999). Prior to becoming a part of CBS News from 1995 Chen Moonves had been an anchor and reporter for WDTN TV Dayton. In her final academic year at the university, she worked as an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and served as producer for ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news program). As a desk assistant in the ABC News late night broadcast Nightline, she worked with Ted Koppel. He remains an inspiration to her in the field of journalism. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel on the Columbia duPont-winning special Anatomy of a Riot which focused on the Los Angeles riots of '92.
